Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, 

I have great honor to greet and address you as a newly elected President of  Armenian Athletic Federation (AAF).
Let me warmly thank you, my Armenian and foreign colleagues and friends, for expressed support, trust and words of congratulations. It is absolutely a privilege for me to serve to the good cause and development of our Sport domestically and worldwide.

Athletics is undoubtedly a Queen of Sport and it is the best description of its role among other sports. It is one of the popular kinds of sport. Our National Federation is a permanent record holder among other Federations in Armenia by the number of tournaments organized domestically. Armenia has its specific place in the Athletic World with its role in the World Athletics Family. Our athletes regularly compete at all regional and international official tournaments. 

As the President of AAF I want to preserve the valuable heritage I inherited from previous leadership and develop the best traditions of Armenian Athletics. The names of distinguished Olympic, World, European, National Champions - record holders Faina Melnik, Igor Ter-Hovhannisyan, Vardan Hovsepyan and others are well-known worldwide.  Another generation of Armenian athletes- Hovhannes Stepanyan, Armen Martirosyan, and others also had high international results in their events. I am very delighted to witness great popularity of Athletics among the youth, what inspires me with the hope that the new generations of talented girls and boys will imprint their remarkable traces on the tracks and field of Athletics history. And it is our duty and task to give them the opportunity of conquering the distances and heights of Athletics, creating all possible conditions (both training and recreational) to win the challenges and enjoy this unforgettable realm of the Queen - Athletics.

Dear Friends,  again many thanks. We are very glad to cooperate with all international and national institutions, i.e. International Olympic Committee, IAAF, EAA, all National Athletic Federations, and other organizations. We live in a big World of Sports and are always ready to face new challenges and reach new heights through strong cooperation and mutual support.
