Women's Leadership Award 2009 (EA) Satenik Ghazaryan

 

This year European Athletics established a new award- Women’s Leadership Award, which is given to a woman leader for her huge commitment and outstanding service to athletics. European Athletics called up all national athletic federations to participate in this initiative and recognize their “heroines”. 24 European Athletics member countries took part in this project and out of the nominated 24 candidates Thordis Lilja Gisladottir from Iceland was selected the winner of the European Athletics Women’s Leadership Award, which she was awarded on October 17 in Budapest, Hungary.President of Women’s Committee of Armenian Athletic Federation Satenik Ghazaryan among other national nominees was also highly appreciated and received European Athletics Women’s Leadership Award in recognition of her contribution and outstanding service to women athletics.

On November 5, 2009 during Federation Council meeting Armenian Athletic Federation President Sargis Khachaturyan handed over the Women’s Leadership Award to Mrs. Satenik Ghazaryan. She expressed her deep gratitude for the recognition and appreciation of the work by both Armenian Athletic Federation and European Athletics. 

On the same day the Federation Council discussed and approved the Calendar plan of sport events of Armenian Athletic Federation for 2010.
