NEWS Armenian Athletic Federation is pleased to announce that Robert Emmiyan Cup international competitions in LJs will be held in Gyumri city on September 12, 2010 with participation of the best long jumpers from several countries. Sevak Yeghikyan and Ashot Hayrapetyan, athletes of Armenian national team, will participate in Ljubljana- Grand Prix International meeting which will take place in the capital of Slovenia Ljubljana city on August 29, 2010. Sevak Yeghikyan will participate in 3000m event, while Ashot Hayrapetyan will participate in 800m event. The same two athletes will participate in the 26th World Mountain Running Championships which will take place in Kamnik (Slovenia) on September 5, 2010. Read More
Robert Emmiyan Cup 2009
8-th edition of Robert Emmiyan Cup international competitions took place in Gyumri city stadium on 12 September 2009, where 17 male and female athletes from 7 countries (Armenia, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Nothern Ireland, France, Kenya) participated. In men’s LJ competitions Oleksandr Soldatkin (Ukraine) won winner’s title with a result 7m 80cm, Arsen Sargsyan (Armenia) took the 2nd place with a result 7m 63cm, Sergiy Pavlyuchenko took the 3rd place with a result 7m 41cm. In women’s LJ competitions Vanessa Gladone (France) became winner with a result 6m 31cm. UK athlete Lorreine Ugen with a result 6m 22cm took the 2nd place, Olena Shchors (Ukraine) took the 3rd place with a result 5m 90cm. All participants of the competitions received cups and certificates, and the athletes who won the prize places received financial awards.The competitions were held on high level and well organized. European record holder Robert Emmiyan honored the competitions with his attendance and addressed the participants his welcome speech in opening ceremony. Read more...
